With the “6 Fugues” and the “4 Performance Pieces”, this volume brings together two charming cycles of works by Camillo Schumann. The fugues are based on baroque models, the pieces op. 83 are in the romantic style and have a pronounced harmonic-sound intensity while being easy to play. The careful differentiation of different characters, which contrast effectively, deserves special attention. Due to their manualiter layout, all pieces are also suitable for realization on the harmonium or piano.
