Description
Sonata in B minor, Op. 16 (Ped.) (First edition!)
From the estate of the famous Cologne composer, the first edition is a compact sonata in the romantic style with the movements I. Grave, II. Adagio, III. Scherzo and IV. Introduction and Fugue. The work gives an idea of the magnificent improvisations with which Sattler fascinated his audience. Medium difficulty, occasionally more difficult.
“A carefully managed first publication. The sonata is in four movements according to the classical model and is characterized by its organic formal structure and its characterful theme. Overall, this offers a recommendable and worthwhile task for an interpreter who spurns well-trodden paths.”
