After insects (BU 1908) and sea creatures (BU 2158), Andreas Willscher now turns his attention to the world of birds, with all the animals featured in a movement also appearing in the Bible. This cycle also covers a wide range of compositional techniques, timbres and levels of expression. And once again the composer succeeds in all this without overtaxing the player: even with minimal technical effort, diverse, often surprising moods can be created.
