Hardly any other genre is so commonly referred to today – even by musical laymen – as “organ-specific” as the toccata. This anthology refrains from reproducing well-known and played works and instead brings to light compositions that are mostly forgotten and unjustly neglected today, with the focus on organ romanticism. A total of 15 (!) expressive and imaginative works by composers from France, England, the USA, Italy, Poland and Germany guarantee a valuable expansion of the repertoire!
