Description
Giocomo Puccini (1858–1924), one of the most celebrated composers of Italian opera in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, left an indelible mark on the world of classical music. His arias stand out as some of the most emotive and captivating pieces in the operatic repertoire. Concert organist Kiyo Watanabe has transcribed six of Puccini’s most famous opera arias for solo organ, just in time for the Puccini commemorative year in 2024! Whether your audience are a seasoned opera aficionado or a newcomer to the world of classical music they will surely be moved and inspired by your performance of these pieces. The music is transcribed for an organ with two manuals and pedal, making it available for church musicians with smaller instruments, and includes suggested registrations for a rich and colourful presentation – all in clear and modern notation.
