Description

These “Seven Liturgical Preludes” form a brief survey of the entire liturgical year. From Advent to Pentecost, the preludes are based on some of the most famous Gregorian chants: “Conditor alme”, “Divinum mysterium”, “Adoro Te”, “Te deum” and others. They are written in a fluid, lyrical style where the chant is always at the forefront. The pedal is used discreetly and the manual parts are easy to learn. These are also excellent study pieces for the beginning church organist as well as those more advanced. These pieces would be excellent as preludes for the chant offices as well as points of departure for improvisation.
