Description

Six concertos after Vivaldi (Ped.) for organ arranged and published by Elena Barshai P

Less well known than the five “Bach-Vivaldi” organ concertos (BWV 592-596) are Bach’s 17 concert transcriptions of works by other masters for piano, also written in Weimar. Transferring these arrangements to the organ with its more differentiated sound possibilities is an obvious idea, and the arranger Elena Barshai (Switzerland) provides the sonic proof in a CD recording of her six concert transcriptions. The CD also contains the five above-mentioned concertos BWV 592-596. The six transcriptions are easier to play than these and expand the repertoire of baroque concert literature for organ with works that are incredibly fun to play and sound great!
