Description
Like an improvisation, Lau’s work is based on two familiar chants: “Te Deum” and “Ave Verum.” Reminiscent of Langlais (but much less difficult), the work is modal and freely metered, based on the chant. There is much dynamic and coloristic variety as well. A useful and attractive piece that can be played on both large and small organs!
