Description
Prelude and Fugue on BACH [BWV 898] (Ped.)
The famous BACH sequence of notes has inspired generations of composers (not only of church music) to create some fascinating works. It rarely came from Bach’s pen, especially in organ music, which is a great pity. The Weimar organist and composer AW Gottschalg remedied this deficiency by making a transcription of Bach’s piano work BWV 898 suitable for the organ, thus creating a brilliant-sounding organ work that represents a real alternative to the frequently played original Bach works for organ.
