The Vienna Cathedral Kapellmeister and sought-after teacher (his most famous student was Ludwig van Beethoven) left behind a significant organ oeuvre. From this, the six Preludes and Fugues op. 6, which had long been out of print, and the Single (Hexachord) Fugue op. 5 are now available again in a critical new edition by Rudolf Walter. With a low level of difficulty, all pieces are particularly suitable for church services and teaching. High-quality music from the classical period, which has little organ literature.
