Bernard Sanders is known to our customers as a composer who knows how to combine compositional sovereignty with personally colored, always “widely effective” sound effects thanks to his popular and frequently sung German Mass. The internationally famous Lourdes song “Ave Maria”, which has only rarely been the subject of organ works, is here the basis for six sonorous and variably designed movements that – even on a two-manual organ – will bring joy to players and listeners alike, and not just in the Marian months of May and October.
