In memoriam pour orgue. (à la mémoire de Louis Vierne) (Ped.)
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Louis Vierne’s death in 1962, Jeanne Joulain (herself a grandchild of Vierne) erected a small musical monument to the famous composer and organist. The meditative piece “In memoriam” is based on a motif that Joulain derived from Vierne’s name using musical letters.
