Jones’ first work published by Butz-Verlag, “Collage” (BU 1945) with simple pieces in the romantic style, made the English composer instantly famous in the German-speaking world. In response to the great demand for works from his pen, a second volume is being published with eight similar works, somewhat larger in length than its predecessors (3-5 pages), but with the same effect: well-crafted new music that sounds good and is a pleasure for players and listeners alike.
