Description
Gregorian Prelude is an excellent meditative prelude, based upon a unique blend of 19th century English romantic style and a chant-like freedom within a multi-meter form. Mr. Betteridge calls for the organ’s warmest timbres to enhance the contemplative quality of the work. “Gregorian Prelude” presents little technical difficulty and would be a welcome addition to a recital program as well as a service of worship.
