In ten movements, Hans Uwe Hielscher succeeds in his tried and tested way in giving the joyful chorale (text by Paul Gerhardt) extremely variable technical and tonal performances. The variations, which often cover no more than one page, are of medium difficulty at most. The fun cycle also offers plenty of opportunity to demonstrate the different tonal facets of an organ.
