Description
Festive Organ Music Volume 4 (Ped.)
The unprecedented popularity of the anthologies edited by Prof. Wolfgang Bretschneider, especially those with “Festive Organ Music” (three volumes have been published so far), is explained in particular by the stylish selection of organ works from various eras, but also by the successful mixture of original works and transcriptions (mostly by the editor himself). The latest volume in this series also contains festive marches as well as meditative gems for a wide variety of occasions. Original contributions were made by our English composers Robert Jones and Christopher Tambling as well as the esteemed composer and improviser Franz Lehrndorfer, one of the editor’s teachers who died in 2013. This volume also guarantees a brilliant expansion of the repertoire!
Works by: C. Ph. E. Bach, JS Bach, Galuppi, Guilmant, Jones, Lehrndorfer, Nieland, Peeters, Scarlatti, Tambling, Valeri, Whitlock.
