Lind has chosen T.Tertius Noble’s famous tune for the text “Come, Labor on”, as the basis for this majestic fantasy. Lind masterfully unites disparate elements such as bold chromatic chordal shifts over a walking bass with fugal passages creating a striking explosion of color and drama. The piece is designed to work well on a two-manual organ but will take on even more intensity in the tonal spectrum palate of larger instruments.
