Fantasy on “Silent Night, Holy Night” (Ped.)
Conrad Bäumer was cathedral organist and cathedral choir director in Osnabrück for over 50 years. The manuscript of a romantic fantasy variation on the world’s most famous Christmas carol was found in his estate. The seven-minute work, which contains no difficulties, is particularly suitable as a prelude to midnight mass, but also for all other liturgical and concert occasions during the Christmas season. The editor is Bäumer’s successor as Osnabrück cathedral organist, Dominique Sauer.
