Description
For manuals and pedals
The word “fanfares” immediately makes most organists’ hearts beat faster, as it is associated with the (often horizontally attached) high-pressure reed stop of majestic sound effect on the one hand, and particularly festively conceived compositions on the other, particularly suitable as ceremonial preludes and postludes to church services or as a festive highlight in a concert. The twelfth volume of our series “The Special Genre” contains sonorous literature for both occasions: short pieces for liturgical use and longer pieces for concert use. The most beautiful pieces were selected from the abundance of the works viewed; in addition, there are those composed exclusively for this volume.
The level of difficulty ends at the “upscale” C level. A veritable treasure trove for all organists who want to bring new, festive momentum to their literary playing.
