For almost 90 years, composing was a “man’s job” at Butz-Verlag. This is now history, and the responsibility lies with a Dutch artist who is already internationally renowned as an organist and composer: Margaretha Christina de Jong from Middelburg (Zeeland) knows how to compose sonorous works based on the Baroque and Romantic musical language, which are always enthusiastically received and admired by audiences. As her first work in our house, she presents three preludes and fugues on well-known songs of praise and thanksgiving, which stylistically breathe the splendor of the Baroque. The works are suitable as festive preludes and postludes in church services as well as for concerts.
