Intrades and Toccatas – only “Early Music”? Not at all! Siegmar Junker shows that these supposedly only old forms are easily convincing in a contemporary musical language – and even more: can sweep you away and inspire. The pieces are of medium difficulty and can already be performed excellently on a one-manual instrument, only for two toccatas a two-manual organ is advantageous. In doing so, the accomplished composer, organist and pedagogue has succeeded in creating a collection that is equally suitable for church services, concerts and lessons and that is able to bring a fresh note to the repertoire of many organists!
