Dominique Sauer, organist at the High Cathedral of St. Peter in Osnabrück and internationally sought-after concert virtuoso, wrote three contributions to Christmas literature that are stylistically rooted in the romantic tradition and are characterized by mastery of compositional technique and a fresh, natural sound. They are suitable for concerts and evening music, as preludes and postludes in church services and are of medium difficulty.
