Description
Hrasky, Rainer (*1943) BU 2306 The little ugly bird. A musical fairy tale for narrator and organ based on the children’s book of the same name by Werner Heiduczek (Ped.) Volume 8 of the series “Animals in organ music”
A child-friendly fairy tale by the successful author Werner Heiduczek forms the basis for an enjoyable organ event, in which not only an exciting and touching story is told, but the instrument can also be demonstrated to the young audience in a colorful way. The composer Rainer Hrasky initially set the text to music as an orchestral piece and, due to its great success (over 100 performances in Dresden alone), is presenting an organ version here. In a contemporary musical language that is also easy for children to understand, they are introduced to “modern classical music” en passant.
