Description
In accordance with my preference for the processing of material from the traditional sacred song for organ compositions, I used choral melodies for the design of the Concertinos for chest organ. The three movements of the piece should express the importance that is attached to our daily routine of attaching to transcendental goals in life. I therefore borrowed the sentence names from the structural elements of the psalmody and used a chorale melody for each part of the piece. (Walter Gleissner)
