Description
Johann Steffens was municipal organist at St Johannis church in Lüneburg and one of the founding fathers of the North German Organ school. This volume contains three chorale arrangements (including a cycle based on “Veni redemptor” / Nun komm der Heiden Heiland) and a “Fantasia”, one of the few free compositions for organ of that period to show exceptional
musicianship.
