Jean Guillou, born on April 18, 1930 in Angers, is one of the most important organists of today. He studied in Paris with Dupré, Duruflé and Messiaen and worked as a professor in Lisbon, Berlin and Zurich. His compositions use the organ’s full range of colors and treat the instrument with virtuosity and a sensitive sense of sound that is unparalleled.
