Description
Learn to play the church organ – but how? Many organ schools are outdated and do not provide an appealing introduction for children, young people or adult beginners. The organist and pedagogue Peter Dicke has developed a modern textbook based on his own practice that addresses all important topics: playing technique on the manual, pedal technique, reading music, song accompaniment, improvisation, basic principles of harmony, music theory, form theory and much more.
This booklet is intended for initial lessons with children and young people, but is not an organ school. It will accompany lessons for around two to three years or serve as supplementary material for a school. Elementary knowledge of reading music is required.
