Description
Symphony No. 5 in D minor, op. 107 “Reformation Symphony” (Ped.) Edited and published by Heinrich Walther – The world’s first complete transcription!
Mendelssohn wrote his “Fifth” on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession. The work takes its name from the final movement, which is a kind of symphonic fantasy on “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.”
