Description

Organ transcriptions from the sacred vocal works (Ped.) Edited and published by Erwin Horn

There are close connections between Bruckner’s sacred vocal works and the music he composed for “his” instrument, the organ. One of these is the use of themes or entire sections from his vocal works in his own organ improvisations. Erwin Horn has transcribed four movements (two of them complete) from key vocal works by Bruckner with an experienced hand, thus enabling the organist to entrust an important facet of his work to the organ. Equally suitable for church services and concerts.

Contents: “Kyrie” from the “Mass in E minor” – “In te, Domine, speravi” from the “Te Deum Part V” “Benedictus” from the “Mass in F minor” – “Psalm 150” (excerpts).
