Description
Rhapsody in Blue (Ped.) Volume 34 of the series “Organ music from England and America” Edited and published by Tobias Zuleger
The piece was already on the program before Gershwin had written a single note. But what was created in such a short time has become the epitome of “American music”: Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”. A work of symphonic nature with a strong dash of jazz that has lost none of its electrifying momentum to this day. Tobias Zuleger draws primarily on the original text for two pianos for his well-thought-out arrangement. Designed for organs with a sufficiently large range of registers, the result is an effective bravura piece for the advanced organist.
