Description
Eight compositions. Volume 4 (Man. and Ped.)
Andreas Willscher is and remains a master of surprise: time and again he rediscovers and reinvents traditional forms and fills them with his typical, colorful sound language. This volume also contains rewarding organ works of easy to medium difficulty: among others, a quick and witty toccata in 7/4 time, an elegiac waltz on Gregorian motifs, a “Toccata Demoll”, but also quiet movements such as the meditations on the “Requiem”. They can also be performed on smaller instruments and will be real attention grabbers in church services and concerts.
Contents: Toccatina in Seven – Valse triste – Trompettes d`Argent. Fanfare for organ – Three pieces from the Requiem (Requiem aeternam, Pie Jesu, In Paradisum) – Toccata Demoll – Partita on the chorale “Svatý Václave” (Saint Wenceslas).
