Organ works (Ped.) (three first editions!) Edited by Wolfgang Seifen
Gustav Busch is considered – like Julius Reubke – to be an exceptional musical talent who died far too early: In his few creative years, the Sattler and Reger student composed highly original and independent works for a wide variety of ensembles. His great love was the organ, for which he wrote several compositions of a larger scale and with a highly romantic sound effect, and which he premiered in Cologne and Kevelaer (St. Mary’s Basilica). Three of the four organ works presented here are first editions from the composer’s estate. Here, exciting new discoveries from German organ romanticism are accessible, particularly for concert use!
Contents: Praeludium op. 17,1 – Chaconne in d op. 17,2 – Passacaglia in f – Fugue for organ op. 2,1.
