Pierné was one of the most respected figures in French music of his time. In his extensive oeuvre, the organ is represented by only a few, but significant works. The volume contains all currently known organ works by César Franck’s successor as organist at Ste-Clotilde: in addition to the famous “Trois Pièces”, there are three other individual works in critical new versions.
