The pieces in this extraordinary collection occupy a special place in Guilmant’s organ works, as the composer also arranged them all for orchestra (such as the 1st and 8th organ sonatas later for the 1st and 2nd symphonies). All works are of medium difficulty at most and cover a wide range of moods.
