Description

Organ album. 23 easy pieces (Ped.) for organ solo Arranged and published by Martin Setchell

William Boyce is one of the most important composers of the English late Baroque period. The London artist, awarded the title of “Master of the King’s Music”, left behind an extensive catalogue of sacred and secular music. The highlights of his instrumental work include overtures and symphonies. They mostly contain short movements that are ideal for organ arrangements. Martin Setchell has selected the most beautiful pieces from this collection and transcribed them for the organ with a great feel for organ practice and in a technically simple manner. They are ideal for use in church services: as preludes and postludes as well as for meditative moments in the liturgy.
