“New from the traditional” – that is the motto of this new organ edition, to which six composers have contributed chorale arrangements of well-known melodies of Gregorian origin. Despite all the orientation towards musical models and styles from different times, the works bear witness to the creative and inventive way in which the composers dealt with the melodic templates. The result is a kaleidoscope of new, exciting and often surprising formal and tonal creations that can be used in a variety of ways in church services, concerts and lessons.
