Description

Concert Transcriptions (Ped.) Edited and published by Francesco Tasini

Bach already valued Vivaldi’s music so much that he arranged some of his concertos for the organ, albeit with somewhat greater freedom than Johann Gottfried Walther in his transcriptions of Italian works. The transcriptions of the Italian organist and musicologist Francesco Tasini from Ferrara, who is considered a proven expert on Italian Baroque music, follow the same tradition. This volume contains concertos and concert movements that are particularly suitable for organ transcription. Literature that is pleasant to play and that only requires a two-manual organ.

Contents: Concerto in G minor RV 328 – Grave, from Concerto in D major RV 206 – Allegro, from Concerto in C major RV 180 – Ciaccona, from Concerto in D major RV 114 – Concerto in A minor RV 356.
