Description
Great British (Ped.) 13 Pieces Volume 41 of the series “Organ Music from England and America” for organ solo Edited by Hans-Peter Bähr
The organ and choir works of the popular English composer Christopher Tambling have long since secured a firm place in the repertoire of many organists and choirs in this country; the demand for further works from his pen is unbroken. In response, the publisher is now presenting the 4th volume of his organ works. First published in England, most of the pieces are no longer available there and are thus being made available to players in a new way: whether pompous introductory and exiting pieces, trumpet solos or dreamy arias: all pieces have the fresh and optimistic “Tambling sound” that captivates and inspires players and listeners time and time again. All pieces are of medium difficulty at most; a two-manual organ is sufficient.
Contents: Royal Knights – A Gentle Aria – Teapot Tune – Arietta – Trumpet Major Reverie – Sortie – Fanfare in Five – Highland Chapel – The Bishop’s Fanfare Fugue on an old German Theme – A Trumpet Gavotte – Postlude on a Theme by Orlando Gibbons.
