Description
(Ped.) Short versions of festive Romantic organ pieces Pièces festives en versions brèves pour orgue. for solo organ Arranged and edited by Werner Freiberger
Publisher No. BU 3088 Important! This volume does not contain any simplified “made playable” versions of the top ten (or top twelve) hits of the romantic toccata and finale literature. Rather, it is a series of sensibly shortened arrangements that respond to the fact that many of the works are too long, particularly for occasional performances but also as postludes to church services, so that by the second half of the pieces at the latest, the pews are practically empty. Since the musical text presented here corresponds to the original versions, apart from the newly created transitions between the sections, the organist who already has the pieces in his repertoire has no additional practice work. And for the pieces he does not yet know, in the best case scenario he will be encouraged to get to know the complete original afterwards. An edition for the immediate practice of all organists who want to shine with “festive” pieces or who are asked to do so. And: you always have the “crackers” of the romantic repertoire with you – in short form and in one volume.
