Description
Volume 5. Organ Sonatas No. 1 and 2 (op. 3 and op. 11) (Ped.)
Dienel’s four sonatas represent the crowning achievement of his organ works. The parameters of his style, which are the basis for the individual works (volumes 1-4), are brought together in the sonatas and brought to the highest level of development. The sonatas are characterized by formal variability, a romantic sense of sound and a strong virtuoso component in the outer movements. Dienel’s sonatas are among the most important of their genre in the entire 19th century. The first two sonatas, op. 3 and op. 11, are presented here.
