Description
Saint Francis of Assisi is traditionally one of the most popular saints in church history. Andreas Willscher was particularly inspired by sentences from the “Fioretti di San Francesco”, the collection of legends about the life of the saint, to compose 15 mostly short organ pieces in which the meditative aspect is in the foreground. All of the pieces – even detached from their programmatic headings and also in selections – are ideal, moderately modern, practical music for church services when it comes to accompanying or creating contemplative moments.
