Luigi was one of our winning composers in our ‘Manuals Only Music for Christmas’ (TKM891) competition with his piece ‘Meditation on God Rest you Merry Gentlemen’.
He now brings us this spirited piece based on an Easter hymn, which he has written as an homage to Pierre Cochereau, the legendary organist of Notre-Dame de Paris, for the Centenary of its birth. It’s inspired by Cochereau’s Toccata on “Marche des Rois”, the final movement of the “Suite à la Française sur des thèmes populaires” recorded by Philips in 1973
