Description
We are delighted to see a third volume in this popular tutor series. This volume continues the approach in Getting Started on the Organ and Getting Started on the Organ 2. The pieces, whilst concise, are uncompromisingly organistic and focus on harmonic content. There are more tricky chord shapes under the spotlight as well as some finger substitution. The exploration of different texture which an organist will encounter is also an important feature.
There is scope for the pieces to be used within a liturgical setting with many being based on familiar hymn tunes or themes taken from a choral work so as to make them suitable for a particular season in the church year.
